Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive commercial experience in generics, biosimilars, and/or 505(b)(2) pharmaceuticals.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. payer and provider landscape.
- Ability to navigate regulatory nuances specific to generics and hybrid pathways.
- Executive presence and a history of leading high-performing commercial teams.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with digital marketing and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with 340B, 505B2, GPOs, and institutional customer segments.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a competitive market.
- Demonstrated success in launching and optimizing performance for complex assets.
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $300,000 to $3500,000 base, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states
Vice President of Commercial, Biosimilars
As Vice President of Commercial - U.S Generics, Biosimilars & 505(b)(2), you’ll lead the strategic development, launch, and growth of Lupin’s U.S. generics portfolio with a specialized focus on biosimilars and 505(b)(2) assets. This executive will drive market expansion, ensure profitable product positioning, and build commercial excellence across the organization. The VP/SVP will architect go-to-market strategies that enhance profitability, deepen market penetration, and position Lupin as a category leader. This role demands a forward-thinking enterprise builder who can translate deep market insight into cross-functional momentum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Own and execute commercial strategies for U.S. generics, biosimilars, and 505(b)(2) assets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Guide lifecycle management, pricing, and go-to-market planning for both pipeline and approved 505(b)(2)and generics products.
- Lead business development assessments for potential licensing, partnerships, and portfolio acquisitions within the 505(b)(2) and generics space.
- Collaboration & Alignment:
- Partner with Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure commercial alignment and seamless execution of strategies for 505(b)(2) and generics products.
- Build strong relationships with wholesale distributors, pharmacy networks, GPOs, and payers to enhance market access and product uptake
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Monitor competitive intelligence, market trends, and reimbursement dynamics to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge in the 505(b)(2) and generics market.
- Oversee forecasting and budgeting processes for key therapeutic assets within the 505(b)(2) and generics portfolio.
Team Development & Leadership:
- Champion team development, culture building, and cross-functional collaboration to foster a high-performing and innovative team focused on 505(b)(2) and generics products.
