Job Description
Portfolio Strategy & Management
- Conduct the evaluation, selection, and prioritization of assets for in‑licensing, co‑development, and partnerships.
- Conduct portfolio reviews, risk assessments, and scenario planning to optimize the product pipeline.
2. Business Development & In‑Licensing
- Identify and source novel opportunities across global markets (clinical‑stage and commercial molecules).
- Lead scientific, regulatory, clinical, and commercial due‑diligence with cross‑functional teams.
- Prepare comprehensive business cases including market sizing, forecasts and competitive landscape
3. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Assessment
- Monitor industry trends, competitor pipelines, new technologies, and licensing activity.
- Conduct deep-dive assessments on therapeutic area landscapes, unmet needs, and pricing/reimbursement dynamics.
- Provide insights to leadership for strategic decision‑making on new assets and portfolio expansions.
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate with regulatory, medical, clinical, supply chain, finance, and marketing teams to ensure feasibility of opportunities.
- Drive internal governance processes via coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Serve as the single point of contact for portfolio‑related communication and updates to leadership.
Work Experience
- Experience working with big pharmaceutical companies with established licensing processes.
- Exposure to multiple therapeutic areas
- Understanding of Indian and international regulatory & commercial landscapes.
- 12+ years of experience in business development, portfolio management, in‑licensing, in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Proven track record of successful deal closures
