Job Description

Sales Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and Implement national sales strategies though key mandate brands to achieve revenue and market share objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand business reach to maximize business opportunities and outperform competitors.
  • Provide inputs to develop the short, as well as medium-term sales strategy for the division responsible in alignment with the overall business strategy. 
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and regulatory changes to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Review the collections against sales on a periodic basis and drive action plans to ensure adherence to the norms established by the organization. 
  • Finalize action plan to achieve set targets covering aspects such as the right product mix, appropriate marketing tools, and sales force effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Management: 

  • Recruit, train, Mentor and Manage RSM, SM
  • Set Performance targets and ensure they are met or exceeded
  • Conduct, Facilitate sales meetings, Performance reviews and training Programs
  • Ensure fair, unbiased and transparent implementation of Policies and process across. 

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with KOL’s 
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and scientific engagement activities
  • Build strong relationship with Key Drs/ Distributors and stakeholders to drive long term business
  • Work closely with marketing, medical and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of sales plan

Sales Operations & Performance Monitoring:

  • Track Sales performance using KPI’s.
  • Oversee compliance by the team to the organization’s policies and regulatory framework. 
  • Optimize distribution channels and supply chain for product availability
  • Identity Challenges, develop solutions and introduce no idea to improve sales and business performance.
  • Identify the scope for improvements in operational efficiencies and lead the implementation of any such projects.
  • Identify gaps in the sales force in terms of scientific capability required for specific products and devise a training plan for the same; measure the effectiveness of training programs and propose enhancements as required. 

Budget & Forecasting:

  • Forecast sales, strategies and revenue projections
  • Ensure effective operations while maximizing profitability

Work Experience

Overall, 18-20 Years, Minimum 2 years of experience as a National Sales Manager
